Healthy Soil, Healthy Rice
Water Stewardship
Preserving Heritage Seeds

Our fields sit in rich, peaty Lowcountry soil — naturally fertile and full of organic matter.

We rotate crops, protect our topsoil, and avoid shortcuts that strip nutrients from the land.

Healthy soil grows stronger rice, better texture, and the deep, nutty aromatics heritage varieties are known for.

Flavor is grown, not manufactured.

Tidal rice farming works with the natural rise and fall of coastal water — not against it.

Our fields flood and drain with the tide, meaning water is refreshed naturally instead of sitting stagnant.

This method supports a healthier ecosystem, reduces the need for intensive pumping, and keeps our waterways clean for future generations.

Powered by the tide. Guided by care.

We grow historic Carolina varieties like Charleston Gold and Carolina Long Gold because they’re part of this region’s story.

These seeds nearly disappeared. Restoring them means preserving flavor, culture, and a farming tradition unique to the Lowcountry.

We’re proud to be one of the few farms keeping tidal rice — and its original grains — alive.
