A family farm, rooted in the lowcountry.

White House Farms is a single-estate, family-run farm in Georgetown County, South Carolina.

Everything we grow, and everything we share, is grounded in the place we call home.

The Founders

We’re hands-on in every part of the process, from planting and harvesting to milling and sharing our story.

Don Quattlebaum

Co-Owner / Farmer
Founder & President

Don carries forward generations of Lowcountry rice tradition, working daily in the tidal fields to preserve heirloom rice for future tables.

Paul Quattlebaum

Co-Owner
Operations & Stewardship

Born in Florence, SC and raised in Georgetown, Paul never imagined a future in rice farming. For over 30 years, he pursued his passion for music as a guitarist — starting in college at the College of Charleston and later performing professionally in New York City for more than a decade. After returning to Charleston, the pandemic put his music career on hold.

In 2021, Paul’s father began growing heirloom rice and invited Paul to help bring the crop to market. Today, working alongside his father, Don, and his wife, Liz, Paul plays an integral role at White House Farms, contributing to every aspect of the business. Deeply connected to Georgetown, he loves spending time on the farm, exploring the fields, and enjoying the river.

Grateful to be part of reviving these historic, heirloom rice varietals, Paul continues to stay active in Charleston’s music scene—so if you’re lucky, you might catch him performing around town.

LOCATION

Rooted in Georgetown, South Carolina

Our farm sits in the heart of the historic rice-belt region of Georgetown County, where tidal rice was once a defining crop of the Lowcountry.

These fields have produced rice for centuries — and today we’re honored to bring that tradition back to life on the same land.

Georgetown isn’t just where we farm. It’s the community that shaped us, and the place we work to support through everything we grow.

Lowcountry land. Lowcountry legacy.
