Carolina Gold is a historic long-grain heirloom rice variety that brought South Carolina word-wide fame.  The name refers to the golden color of the rice crop as it appears in the fields just before harvest.  As the matriarch of the American heirloom rice varietals, it's known for its delicate, nutty flavor, mild aroma, firm texture, and versatility.  Delicious alone, It also adds depth and texture your favorite risotto, soup or rice recipes.

Our Carolina Gold rice is grown in partnership with our fellow Lowcountry rice grower and friend with certified seed from the Carolina Gold Rice Foundation.

For rice with a granular texture we recommend rinsing your rice in a fine mesh strainer until the water runs mostly clear.  If you prefer stickier rice, give the rice a quick, gentle rinse.
